Understanding the Different Types of German Stone Crusher Machines
Stone crushing machines are produced in many different sizes, shapes, and designs. They are available in a variety of different designs and configurations to suit different crushing requirements. For instance, in Germany, stone crusher machine is available in two main types, namely jaw crusher and impact crusher. Jaw crushers are usually used in the primary stage of stone crushing with large crushing ability and high crushing ratio. Impact crushers are frequently used as secondary or tertiary crushers with smaller capacity and higher reduction ratio.
There are two main types of jaw crushers, single toggle and double toggle. Single toggle jaw crushers have one fixed plate, while the other pivots about a top hinge. This moving jaw plate is shaped to move firmly and squarely against the material. There are two main types of jaw crushers, single toggle and double toggle. Double toggle jaw crushers have a simple compression motion with jaw angle of 15-20°. They are effective for hard and abrasive materials with low (<5%) moisture and give a reduction ratio of about 6:1.
Jaw crushers with the double-toggle design are equipped with the heavy-duty eccentric shafts. They range in size from 1500 x 1120 mm to 1500 x 1400 mm with capacities from 900 to 1200 tons per hour. Crushers of this size are engineered for uninterrupted operation and provide accurate crushing for the most challenging materials, such as reinforced concrete. They eliminate the need for primary crushing, reducing capital equipment investment costs. The machine's automatic hydraulic cylinders allow easy adjustment of the crusher’s closed-side setting and hydraulic tensioning of the power shaft.
Impact crushers are machines designed to handle primary to secondary applications of crushing. Stone quarries and sand and gravel operations produce various types of stone particles, such as coarse and fine aggregates, as well as specialty products such as stone dust and washed clean stone. Impact crushers are used to process these materials and make them suitable for use in asphalt, concrete, and mortar.
Impact crushers have a reduction ratio of approximately 15:1. An example of this ratio of reduction would be that a 30” input particle can be reduced to approximately a 2” discharge particle. Impact crushers tend to produce more “fines” than Jaw crushers. Jaw crushers have two opposing ribbed panels, or jaws, with one jaw moving forward and back to crush raw material against the fixed jaw. Only material that has been crushed to a size equivalent to the opening at the bottom of the jaws falls through the bottom of the machine. This sizing is determined by the closed side setting of the jaw panels.
While both types of crushers operate on the same principle of compression, they differ in the shape of the crushing cavity. The shape of the cavity in the jaw crusher is extruding curved, and the crushing cavity in the impact crusher is typically large and it is hard to produce uniformaly fine product particle. The jaw crusher requires that the ore feeding must be even and not too much while the impact crusher is suitable for a wide range of feed particle size.
In conclusion, the selection of German stone crusher machine should be based on the specific circumstances of the manufacturer. Different types of stone crusher machines have different output capacity that they can effectively produce, making them a significant investment for businesses. Users should select the best type of stone crusher machine depending on the required output capacity and environmental considerations.
